There are many antivirus programs that you can get to protect your computer.  Once you go online and do a search for them the AVG free will come up as one of your options.  The AVG free has the features available and it is easy for you to use.  Many of the antivirus programs are hard to use and it is hard to tell if they are working.  The AVG free is different and once the scan is complete you will know if it found a virus or not.  You can even set it to scan when it is convenient for you.
