Quality Time With Grandma

Growing up close to my own grandparents made me determined to get in home senior care for my elderly mom. A nursing home wouldn’t have worked out, anyway. She is attached to her home and likes puttering in her garden and socializing with her neighbors. Putting her in a nursing home would have meant starting over again, adjusting to another routine, and leaving her long-time friends behind. She doesn’t have to go through that.

With our current arrangement of in home senior care, she gets to stay in an environment that she already feels comfortable in, and my kids get to have the same experience I had growing up with a grandparent. And that is something I wouldn’t take away from them for anything.
