Why Your Weight Gaining Routine Must Include Morning Nutrition

Your weight gaining routine must include morning nutrition and with good reason: a night of sleep actually does a lot to your body that needs to be corrected through nutrition. After 8 hours of sleep without any food or water your body’s protein levels are depleted and muscle catabolism is occurring rapidly. Additionally, your blood sugar and glycogen levels are low and your body is severely dehydrated.

Because of the highly catabolic state your body is in during this time, it’s important that you consume your breakfast meal as quickly as you possibly can. You don’t want to waste any time here. You should not be waiting any more than 45 minutes to have breakfast upon awakening. The sooner, the better.
