I’ve often heard that all you need is love, but I am not so sure. I have loved and been loved many times in my life, but I have never had enough money to go to college. I’ve never been able to buy a house. And no amount of life skills curriculum could help me to find a good job that paid anything decent, especially since I couldn’t afford school. Sure, I was loved. But I was also working fast food with no prospects. So do I believe that all I need is love? No, I don’t. I firmly believe that love is important, but in life you really need so much more.
