There are two possible ways to get to Lanai, one is by air and one is by sea. I like the sea option best as it is just a 45 minute ride from Maui to the harbor on Lanai and unless the water is choppy, it is a very enjoyable trip. If you decide to take the ferry, you will notice that many of the people on the boat are workers that commute from Maui to Lanai either every day or they come to Lanai for a week or two to work at the Koele and the Manele Bay hotels.
